Fred n' So

Shipped · live

Showcase site for an eco-conscious event caterer on the Île d'Oléron. A one-page site plus a contact page tell the chef's story, show the food, and turn visitors into quote requests — with no database or server to maintain.

Context

Fred n' So is an event caterer based in Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron: weddings, receptions, corporate meals, from around twenty guests up. Firmly eco-conscious positioning — two stars in the Île d'Oléron eco-responsible label, reusable containers. The studio has followed the client since the start and ships their showcase site.

The challenge

A caterer doesn't need an over-engineered platform. They need a fast, credible site that shows their work and generates local quote requests. All without a database, without monthly server costs, and easy to evolve. The real point: make people want it and convert — not pile up features.

Our approach

A one-page site plus a contact page, built in static Nuxt (SSG) and deployed on Vercel. The page walks through the chef's story, a dish portfolio, client reviews, press coverage and around thirty institutional references (Île d'Oléron community of municipalities, OFB, SDIS 17…). The functional core is a detailed quote form — date, guest count, venue, event type — wired to an AWS Lambda that emails the caterer. Spam protection via invisible reCAPTCHA v3, no friction for the visitor. Images served as optimized WebP. No database: the site is a static build, fast and free to run.
